Arrival Beijing early morning local time KL 07.55. We go straight to Beijing and China’s heart – and experiencing of history by walking on the symbol strong Tiananmen. If we have the time and effort, we can simultaneously visit a thrilling urban museum with a huge model of Beijing, which helps us to get an overview of the vast world city. After checking into our central hotel and lunch, we let bicycle taxis take us a tour to get a taste of life in old Beijing, the narrow hutong streets that are encircled by traditional low gray house in the distinctive courtyards. Wednesday 30 th NOV The Forbidden City B, L, D
We start the day with imperial yellow roofs, lush ornament and juicy symbolism in the mighty Forbidden City, where the emperors for 500 years ruled and lived with their empresses and a rich number of concubines and eunuchs. After lunch we are ready to a first test of shop genes. On the way home we will demonstrate the ancient China’s biggest secret; silk production. There are also opportunities to initiate tailor to renew your wardrobe. This is a terrific place to indulge beautiful silk bedding, pillows, ropes etc. In the evening we take for us a source of local pride, delicacy Peking duck. Finally rounded day with a real Chinese Kung Fu show.
Thursday 1 st DEC Majestically Beijing B, L
After a stroll in one of the city’s lovely parks we take in true imperial tradition, the waterway to the Summer Palace, the Empress Dowager Cixi`s playground. After wandering in the large palace and park, we lunch in the imperial surroundings. On the way home we visit the original Buddhist temple Wutasi, from early 1400 figures. We will also gain insight into China’s Pearl Production before we are back at the hotel.The rest of the day is free on your own and you have the opportunity to shop and do things you want. Our hotel is very centrally located and right around the corner from a modern commercial street and night market. There are many great restaurants near the hotel.
Friday 2 nd DEC The Great Wall B, L
The highlight for many travelling explorers is to stroll on the impressive Chinese wall.We go to Mutianyu, about one and a half hour drive from Beijing. Here we go up the stairs, or let us lift cable car with magnificent views towards the wall that meanders over the mountain peaks, and take time for reflection and wonder of Wall creation and use throughout history. On the way home we see the Olympic city – Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, the two main Olympic venues. After that we will also take part in a typical Chinese tea ceremony.
Saturday 3 rd DEC Beijing – Shanghai B, M
Up to traditional morning trim in the park at Temple of Heaven, called the loveliest building, where the emperor annually went to ask for good harvest. Here is bustling with mood enhancing diversity. We visit then the most popular market in Beijing, Yashow,selling Chinese editions of all brands. For those less shopaholics will travel manager assist with tips about other possible activities that day. Farewell Dinner in a fine local restaurant.
Sunday 4 th DEC Beijing – India B, Food on the flight
We fly back and landing in India afternoon.
